On April 30, the launch ceremony for HiTHIUM's entry into the Hetao Hong Kong Park, themed "Long-Duration Energy Storage·Pioneering the Future", was held in Hong Kong. Professor Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and Cai Jieming, Permanent Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Company, attended and co-presided over the ceremony. Dr. Yi Ziqi, Board Member and Vice President of HiTHIUM and General Manager of Hiharbor Tech HK Limited, attended and delivered a speech.

In his address, Secretary Sun Dong stated that HiTHIUM's entry into the Hetao Hong Kong Park fully demonstrates the company's high recognition of Hong Kong's innovation and technology ecosystem and its international advantages, and will inject new momentum into the development of local advanced manufacturing and new energy industries. He noted that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government is fully committed to advancing new industrialization. By leveraging key platforms such as the Hetao Hong Kong Park, the government aims to accelerate the transformation of scientific research outcomes into commercial applications and deepen collaborative development with the Greater Bay Area. He emphasized that Hong Kong will fully leverage its unique advantage of "connecting the domestic and international markets" to attract more internationally competitive innovation and technology enterprises, promote the integrated development of green energy and advanced manufacturing, and accelerate the construction of an international innovation and technology hub.
Chairman Cai Jieming stated that HiTHIUM's entry into the Hetao Hong Kong Park marks a solid step forward for the park in promoting new industrialization and building an international innovation and technology hub. The park possesses the unique advantage of "one river, two banks; one zone, two parks" and is committed to building a comprehensive innovation and technology ecosystem. As a global leader in energy storage and the first energy storage enterprise in the park, HiTHIUM will drive the clustering of the industrial chain and inject strong momentum into Hong Kong's new energy industry.
In his remarks, Yi Ziqi noted that 2026 marks the opening year of the national 15th Five-Year Plan and represents a crucial phase for Hong Kong to accelerate its integration into the broader national development landscape and advance new industrialization. At this pivotal juncture, HiTHIUM's decision to enter Hong Kong and build an international long-duration energy storage innovation center constitutes a strategic move aligned with national priorities and aimed at integrating into the global industrial landscape.

Regarding the development of the International Long-Duration Energy Storage Innovation Center, HiTHIUM will focus its efforts on three key areas:
First, deepening industry engagement to drive continuous breakthroughs and practical applications of long-duration energy storage technology, thereby helping Hong Kong refine its new energy industry ecosystem and enhance the momentum of advanced manufacturing.
Second, leveraging its geographical advantages, the company will harness Hong Kong's unique role as a bridge connecting domestic and international markets. On one end, it will link with the well-established industrial chains and manufacturing capabilities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area; on the other, it will address high-growth global demands such as grid energy storage and AI data centers, thereby enhancing global resource allocation and service capabilities.
Third, the company will strengthen digital and intelligent empowerment by continuously advancing the integration of manufacturing systems with digital capabilities. This will streamline the entire process from R&D to manufacturing and quality management, continuously improving product safety, consistency, and lifecycle competitiveness, thereby providing a solid foundation for the large-scale development of long-duration energy storage.
The establishment of the HiTHIUM International Long-Duration Energy Storage Innovation Center will further drive energy storage technology from innovation toward large-scale application, providing crucial support for Hong Kong's development of advanced manufacturing.
