The Rising Demand for HiTHIUM Battery Storage in Utility and Industrial Sectors

Across the global energy landscape, the demand for stable, flexible, and scalable storage continues to accelerate. Our team has witnessed firsthand how the need for  HiTHIUM energy storage has grown alongside rapid renewable adoption. HiTHIUM battery storage plays a vital role in enabling this transition by ensuring an uninterrupted power supply, balancing variable renewable output, and enhancing local grid resilience.

From September 24 to 26, 2025, we had an important milestone at the 4th Sodium-Ion Battery Industry Chain and Standards Development Forum in Shandong, China. During this event, HiTHIUM successfully passed the national assessment for our first utility-scale sodium-ion battery—the ∞Cell N162Ah. While HiTHIUM battery storage continues to strengthen our leadership in long-duration lithium solutions, this sodium-ion breakthrough further broadens our technological foundation.

The evaluation, led by the CASIC Electronic Technology Standardization Research Institute, confirmed that the ∞Cell N162Ah meets the requirements of the T/CNESA 1006-2025 Sodium-Ion Battery General Specification. This achievement validated our ability to industrialize sodium-ion technology at scale and integrate it with our existing HiTHIUM battery storage systems for broader application scenarios.

Engineering Excellence Behind HiTHIUM’s Next-Generation Storage Systems

The ∞Cell N162Ah represents a major step forward for HiTHIUM energy storage. Built on sodium iron ortho-pyrophosphate cathode technology, the battery delivers over 20,000 charge cycles, exceptional round-trip efficiency, and consistent performance across extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 60°C. These attributes make it ideal for large wind and solar farms, where durability, efficiency, and stability are non-negotiable.

Our team completed development and safety certification of the sodium-ion cell in late 2024, including UN38.3 testing. By the end of 2025, we expect GWh-level mass production, allowing us to deploy sodium-ion solutions alongside our advanced HiTHIUM battery storage portfolio.

At the same time, we’ve also introduced a specialized AI Data Center energy storage architecture, combining our 8-hour lithium LDES system with a 1-hour sodium BESS. With a built-in lifetime assessment model and optimized configuration controls, this architecture meets the demanding needs of high-power data infrastructure. Integrating sodium-ion solutions with HiTHIUM battery storage enables us to deliver a more resilient and adaptable product ecosystem that fits a wider range of operational environments.
