Hithium was also invited to host a roundtable discussion on the topic of "Next Generation Battery Energy Storage System: Latest Technology Trends and Impact on Project Economics." led by Hithium Director of Global Applications Engineering, Neil Bradshaw. The discussion focused on the future development trends of energy storage and included insights on Hithium's technology innovations, global application practices, and international development for global energy green transformation.

Hithium has been ranked among the top five battery manufacturers in terms of energy storage products shipped in 2023 in a new analysis of 2023 stationary energy storage manufacturer shipments by the China Energy Storage Alliance (CNESA). In addition, ranked as the No. 2 for utility-scale projects in its home market of China released by ESSA. Founded in 2019 with a focus exclusively on stationary batteries, Hithium first shipped products in 2022.

Stationary battery manufacturer Hithium has signed on to supply 5GWh of battery capacity to global energy storage platform provider Powin, LLC. The duration of the deal is three years, with the two companies having signed their first agreement earlier in 2023 for the delivery of at least 1.5GWh. Hithium will provide Powin with the agreed-upon energy storage capacity in the form of its 300Ah lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) cells.

Stationary battery manufacturer Hithium and solar project EPC provider Solarpro have announced a strategic partnership, with their first project to come in Bulgaria. Hithium has agreed to supply the battery products to a 55 MWh energy storage project, for which Solarpro is providing turnkey EPC services.

Hithium, the stationary battery producer, announced the agreement with Munich Re to provide warranty reinsurance for its energy storage systems (ESS). The reinsurer will cover both product and performance warranties. The agreement will thus reduce ESS project owners’ risk as well as Hithium’s, providing system owners with coverage even in case of a manufacturer insolvency while also shielding Hithium from excessive warranty costs and protecting the company’s balance sheet.

Stationary battery manufacturer Hithium’s production facility at its headquarters in Xiamen, China, has received the globally recognized carbon neutrality certification PAS 2060 (Certificate number: 0412TZH01106). This certification standard builds on established methodologies, according to TÜV Süd, to calculate the plant’s carbon footprint (such as the GHG-Protocol and ISO 14064) and it assesses, where needed, the impact of high-quality offsetting certificates from climate projects (including CDM, JI, GS, and VCS).

Hithium has announced a new 5 MegaWatt hours (MWh) container product using the standard 20-foot container structure. The more compact second generation (ESS 2.0), higher-capacity energy storage system will come pre-installed and ready to connect. It will be outfitted with 48 battery modules based on the manufacturer’s new 314 Ah LFP cells, each module providing 104.5 kWh capacity and designed to meet the needs of large utility scale systems.

The power station is the first of this kind to operate commercially in Heze City, a metropolitan region with a population of nearly 8.3 million, and it also serves as a key energy storage project for Shandong Province, where it is located.
